In order to gain employment with Rocky Mountain Protective Service, each prospective applicant must be able to pass an expansive background check consisting of a Local Criminal Background done by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), a National Criminal Background Check conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Screening, and in some cases a Psychological Evaluation before an offer of employment can be extended. Once an offer is extended, you must serve a probationary period and complete our Field Training officer Program (FTO). A major portion of our officers have previous Military, Law Enforcement experience or both. Here at RMPS, our officers are continually selected for random drug testing. We also provide expert security training and courses.
