Critical Infrastructure Security Services

Perimeter Security

RMPS will partner with clients across the country to patrol port of entry perimeters, secured areas, and port of entry operations areas, so ports entry can operate without interruption.

Access Control

RMPS will protect the integrity of sterile and secured areas and quickly respond to unauthorized access -whether intentional or not- to resolve the issues. We understand the headaches and financial impact caused by breaches and re-sterilization, so we take every step necessary to secure high-risk and vulnerable areas.

Employee Inspections

RMPS recognizes the rising rate of insider threats to security at port of entries. To mitigate vulnerability, we offer an array of employee inspections procedures. These range from “stadium-style” searches of employee belongings to screenings using walk-through metal detectors, hand-held metal detectors, and X-ray machines.

Vehicle Inspections

RMPS will conduct vehicle inspections, including driver and passenger assessments, to protect entry into the secured areas and airport perimeters at permanent guard gates and temporary access points for haul routes.

Vendor Inspections

As port of entries continues to be a high value target of both domestic and foreign terror, RMPS will protect against the insertion of “bad actors” and prohibited items in port of entry, including monitoring and inspections of incoming vendors and their materials.

Exit Lane Staffing

Since staffing levels at port of entries can fluctuate with changes in funding and passenger loads, RMPS can assist with monitoring exit lanes so TSA resources can be focused on passenger screening.

Queue Management

RMPS can provide staffing for queue lines leading to TSA Screening Checkpoints for a more streamlined, pleasant passenger experience. Additionally, we can assist with divesting, re-composure and bin-running, so TSA can focus on their primary responsibility of screening passengers and their carry-on items to ensure airport security.

Traffic Control and Parking

RMPS can control traffic at arrival and departure roads to terminals and patrol parking lots and garages as an alternative to hiring law enforcement personnel. It is not only a cost-effective solution, but it also puts trained security officers in position to monitor driver activities and potential threats to the public or airport infrastructure and perimeter security.

Access Control and Patrol

The safety of a medical facility is highly dependent on stringently controlling points of entry from unauthorized access. We incorporate foot and mobile patrols and provide personnel at perimeters to ensure the protection of staff, patients, and visitors. Using evidence-based risk indicators, as well as experience and knowledge gained by serving hundreds of hospitals, we can confidently assign the type and number of security officers your facility requires.

Visitor Information, Screening and Management

The best healthcare guest experiences are those that feel welcoming and intuitive rather than intimidating. We pay special attention to this when we design checkpoints (with and without metal detectors) and set up systems to provide necessary directions. Management is our more formal visitor screening process, whereby personnel verifies identification, electronically records names in databases, and provides temporary photo-ID badges.

Hospital Staff Training

RMPS is well-versed in providing security training across the entire spectrum of the healthcare system (stand-alone emergency rooms, urgent care, medical offices, ambulatory surgical centers, home health agencies, long-term care, and skilled nursing facilities). We provide comprehensive preparedness training to hospital staff using drills and exercises to simulate scenarios such as active shooter and infant abductions. We also offer our expertise in contemporary industry concerns such as home health security threats and managing prisoner patients and provide the tools for effective threat response to patient generated violence.

High-Risk Patient Monitoring

In comparison to a traditional “security service” that focuses primarily on the risk of fall, RMPS patient monitoring program provides specifically-trained medical facility security officers to monitor aggressive, violent, disoriented, suicidal, or substance-impaired patients. It requires special expertise and care to avoid threatening their security or the wellbeing of others. Patient monitoring is available as a fixture of the overall security program or as an add-on.

Our Security Operations Center (SOC) is a fully integrated central communications hub that integrates with any security program a client has in place. In short, it consolidates incident detection, monitoring, and response activities and increases officer response times.

Special Security Officer Support

RMPS Special Security Officer (SSO) certification program elevates security and effective officer engagement through specialized training courses. Hand-selected SSOs receive enhanced equipment (including electrical conducted weapons) and are trained in up to 40 hours of online courses, classroom, role play, and practice sessions. SSO modules include:

Cultural Integration and Security where they focus on strengthening communication skills
Customer Service teaches exceptional customer service in the healthcare environment.
Basic Taser and Handcuff Training provides the operational theories and practical training to reasonably, safely, and effectively operate TASER Electronic Control Devices (ECDs). The handcuff portion explores the physical techniques and justification for the application of handcuffs while exercising powers to arrest as a security officer.
Crisis Intervention Training provides education about mental illness for first responders. Learners enhance their communication and teamwork skills as well as the development of the initial approach, assessment, and intervention techniques when dealing with individuals afflicted with various forms of mental illness.
Advanced Firearms Training: This two-day program builds on what is learned from the Basic Firearms Course. Classes include Advanced Tactical Skills, Advanced Threat Awareness, Verbal De-escalation for Armed First Responders, and Defensive Techniques. Topics help officers develop their safety and survival skills, officer patrol techniques, incident/scene management, critical incident response, use of force and case law, equipment inspection, vehicle contacts and searches, and suspicious package recognition.

The end result is an SSO who provides a heightened personal influence and security impact, optimizing a healthcare facility's ability to offer a safe experience to its customers.

Government and Private Sector Services

Facility Patrol

RMPS uses both foot and mobile patrols to ensure that facilities are effectively monitored and secured. Our inspection protocols include looking for open doors, unauthorized individuals, and situations that require special attention.

Access Control

RMPS staffs command centers and monitors closed circuit cameras to gauge potential hot spots. At facilities that utilize control systems, security officers control access during regular business as well as alarm responses.

Employee and Visitor Screening

RMPS provides employee and visitor screening to enhance facility security for public office buildings, courthouses, and other government facilities.

Vehicle Inspections
